I began my career working with a BioTech startup across their legal and operations functions, quickly getting a taste for what it takes to build a company from the ground up. That experience hooked me on the pace and problem-solving of early-stage businesses.
I have since been deeply embedded in the UK’s early-stage eco-system, working with founders and investors to navigate the challenges of scaling, structuring deals, and raising capital – from managing S/EIS funding rounds and investor relations to building products for new geographies. My commercial and legal background has given me a strong foundation in risk assessment, negotiation, and the operational realities of building and scaling a startup.
I work across the full investment lifecycle – supporting the Investment Managers with sourcing and evaluating opportunities, diving into due diligence and supporting portfolio companies post-investment. I am particularly interested in AI-driven business models and companies seeking to leverage underutilised assets to disrupt sectors, but I’m always excited about engaging with unique problem-solvers across the sectors we support.
My at role at Symvan is to work with the team to deploy capital where it can make the most impact and, equally, ensure founders feel the full weight of our team’s impact – tapping into our collective experience, network and know-how to serve as strategic partners in their journey.
