I began my career in investment banking in 1994, working across Equity Capital Markets, M&A, and private equity. Over the years, I’ve held positions at BNP Paribas, Lehman Brothers, and various SME brokerages. I initially focused on the technology, media, and telecoms sectors, gaining early experience in telecom privatisations and later supporting the flotations of high-growth tech businesses.
In 2013, I co-founded Symvan Capital with Kealan Doyle, with a mission to invest in early-stage tech companies through SEIS and EIS portfolios.
I hold an MBA from Imperial College School of Management and a BSc (Hons) in Statistics from UCL, which included studies in Computing, Operations Research, and Economics. I am also an EMCC Accredited Coach at Practitioner level.
My day-to-day role is diverse. I act as Lead Investment Manager for several portfolio companies, which means I work closely with their management teams—whether in board meetings, offering fundraising advice, or planning exits. I’m also responsible for the firm’s Compliance function. As a director, I work alongside the rest of the board to shape strategic decisions and provide oversight across our entire product offering.
