My career in financial services commenced at Société Générale, where I obtained my professional qualifications and subsequently specialised in UK equity trading for several years. This foundation led to advisory and fundraising roles focused on emerging Asian and European markets, with a particular emphasis on the Technology, Natural Resources, and Property sectors. Seeking to engage earlier in the company lifecycle and leverage the advantages of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), I transitioned into venture capital.
I am a founding member of Symvan.
My current role at Symvan focuses on capital raising for all Symvan Technology funds, targeting financial advisors, sophisticated investors, and wealth management groups. I provide comprehensive technical and practical guidance on tax-efficient investing, collaborating closely with client advisors to facilitate their clients’ financial objectives.
A core principle of my approach is democratizing venture capital, ensuring it is accessible to a wider range of investors. This involves clearly articulating the inherent risks and how we manage those risks. A deep understanding of our portfolio companies is paramount, and effectively communicating their progress and potential to advisors and their clients is crucial for building strong, transparent relationships.
The client is central to everything we do. Our commitment to transparency and accessibility is part of the culture at Symvan and something we hope to retain moving forward.

What's the Best Thing About Working at Symvan?
Working with a great team who are professional but also fun to spend time with. I love technology – amongst other things! But working in such a constantly evolving space with entrepreneurs at the start of their journey and guiding them through to exit is something enjoyable and a privilege.
